Delivery Information
We aim to make delivery as smooth and straightforward as possible. As many Redleys products are made to order, delivery times vary depending on the item, its size and the delivery method required.
How long does delivery take?
-
Made-to-order and bespoke products: typically 3–4 weeks from final order confirmation.
-
Stock items: available for quicker dispatch, with many items delivered within just a few working days.
Lead times will always be clearly shown on each product page.
We'll keep you updated throughout and let you know as soon as your order is ready for dispatch.
How is delivery arranged?
Due to the size and fragile nature of our products, we work with experienced fragile goods couriers to ensure your glass arrives safely and in excellent condition.
Once your order has been dispatched:
-
The courier will contact you directly
-
A convenient delivery day will be arranged
-
Deliveries are typically made Monday to Friday
Please ensure someone is available to accept delivery on the agreed date.
If delivery cannot be completed due to unavailable access or no one being available to receive the goods, additional delivery or storage charges may apply.
How are larger panels delivered?
Oversized glass panels may be delivered on an A-frame stillage to ensure safe transportation. Where this applies, you must ensure there is suitable access and enough people available to safely receive, move and store the glass after delivery.
As a guide, panels exceeding approximately 1700mm × 2000mm or 3.4m² are typically delivered on an A-frame stillage due to their size and weight.
Where a stillage is required, we will advise you before dispatch and provide any additional information needed to receive the delivery safely.
Where will my order be delivered?
All deliveries are made to the nearest safe and accessible point at the delivery address.
This is normally the kerbside, driveway or ground-floor entrance, depending on access and the delivery vehicle.
This means:
-
The driver will unload the goods from the vehicle
-
Delivery is made to the nearest accessible point at your property
-
Drivers are generally unable to carry glass inside properties or assist with moving products beyond the agreed delivery point.
We recommend having help available, as glass panels can be heavy and require careful handling.
What if there are special access requirements?
Please let us know before dispatch if there are any access restrictions that may affect delivery, such as narrow roads, restricted parking, gated access or other delivery constraints.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure there is suitable access for delivery to the property. If you are unsure whether access may be restricted, please contact us before placing your order.
Do you deliver to remote areas?
We deliver throughout the UK. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands and other remote locations may require specialist transport or incur an additional delivery charge. If this applies to your order, we'll contact you to discuss the available delivery options before dispatch. Where appropriate, we can also arrange delivery to a mainland freight depot or port for collection by your chosen carrier.
What should I do when my order arrives?
Shower glass is fragile and should be checked carefully after delivery.
Please:
-
Inspect the packaging on arrival
-
Carefully unpack and inspect all glass panels, hardware and accessories as soon as reasonably possible after delivery
-
Report any damage, defects or shortages within 7 days of delivery
For further information about returns, cancellations and your statutory rights, please see our Returns & Cancellations policy.
What should I check for?
-
Chips or scratches
-
Cracks or breakage
-
Surface imperfections
-
Incorrect sizes or specifications
-
Incorrect glass type
-
Incorrect hardware finish
-
Missing components
If there are any issues, please contact us with clear photographs of:
-
The damaged area
-
The full panel
-
The packaging
This helps us resolve things quickly.
How should glass be stored before installation?
Glass should always be stored upright on a clean, level surface in a dry location until installation. Never lay glass panels flat, as this may increase the risk of damage
Important
-
Do not arrange installation until your order has been received, unpacked and inspected
-
Please do not install any glass if a fault is present
-
Installation confirms that the product was accepted in satisfactory condition unless the defect could not reasonably have been identified before installation.
-
Keep all packaging until you are satisfied everything is correct
