What is a walk-through shower screen?
A walk-through shower screen is an open shower enclosure that allows access without a door. Designs can be floor-to-ceiling, freestanding, or supported with braces depending on the layout and size of the glass.
How are walk-through screens fixed in place?
Walk-through screens can be fixed directly to the floor using silicone, either onto tiles or a shower tray.
Alternatively, a floor channel can be used where preferred. Channels must also be siliconed into position during installation.
Are walk-through screens suitable for wet rooms?
Yes — walk-through screens are ideal for both fully tiled wet rooms and shower tray installations.
How do I measure for a floor to ceiling screen?
You will need to measure floor to ceiling at each side and in the centre.
Do walk-through screens require support braces?
Freestanding panels will require support braces for stability.
Floor-to-ceiling installations may instead use minimal ceiling clamps depending on the design.
What is the largest screen size available?
We can manufacture glass panels up to 2400mm × 3000mm depending on the layout and specification.
Due to their size and weight, oversized panels above approximately 1700mm × 2000mm are typically transported on a stillage for safe delivery and handling.
What type of glass is used?
All enclosures are manufactured using toughened safety glass, designed for strength and durability in everyday use.
